This large antique Arabic / Middle eastern planter comes in excellent antique condition although there is some old metal polish residue present. It has a copper lustre finish and engraved decoration all round. I would date it to the early part of the 19th century. It has a solid cast metal base andhas the appearance of copper although there appears to be a white metal showing through on the inside of the bowl (see photo's).( I have seen similar items described as silver) so I will have to leave it up to the viewer to decide what metal it is. It's a good size  measuring just over 13 1/2" across the top rim and 8" across the bottom pedestal rim, it stands 6 1/2" tall. Genuine antique, water tight and weighing 2.9klo.
