THE STUDEBAKER US6 (INCLUDING REO PRODUCTION) by David Doyle

This is the untold story of the Studebaker 2 1/2 ton truck of WW2. Although the truck was well designed, handsome and an excellent performer by all accounts, few but the most diehard Studebaker enthusiasts know of this truck’s significance in WW2, particularly as compared to the “original deuce” – the GMC CCKW. With nearly 200,000 US6’s built, one might expect to see more of these sharp vehicles still around, whether earning their keep at a local farm or showing up at a car show.

This book is the product of over 20 years of careful research that led the author, David Doyle, around the globe, ferreting out the story of one of the unsung heroes of WW2, the Studebaker US6.

Over 600 high resolution pictures including many never before seen images from the Studebaker archives and private collections. Almost all of the photographs are either full page (8×10) or half page with captions. The printing is of the finest quality on glossy paper.

Includes a 20+ page appendix/chart with production details including variants by year, registration numbers & contract and more.

Hi First of all, many thanks for the looking.

Discount on postage! Sorry there isn't any - read on.

1) Postal charges go on weight, 'Not how many books are in one box etc' (and books are heavy) And it doesn't matter where in the world you are, France, USA, Australia etc. The prices are the same

2) If you didn't know All postal chargers around the World went up by around 30% in August, due to Covid etc.

And went up again 1st Jan 2024, and there isn't anything we can do about it, its all down to them. And again 1st April 2024

3) Due to Brexit, on 1st Jan 2021, Vat is going to be added to overseas postal services and export tax (even though books are Vat free here in the UK, this is going to change?)

4) After the 1st Jan, you will also have to pay a tax on receiving anything from the UK (Although We are hoping, by adding a customs for 'lowering the value of books sent', by saying they are worth £20? so you may get away with this?)

If I am honest, Covid and Brexit, are really 'Messing' things up over here (and the rest of the world to)

Hand on Heart, I am now thinking of removing all overseas services from my sales. This will hurt our book sales, but the hassel's it is looking like its going to be, it is just not worth selling overseas anymore? Although we shall wait and see?

So sorry, but right now, we can offer any discount, as due to the above, so please DO NOT ask, as our prices are fixed and have been calulated on Royal Mail International 'Signed For' posting

And before you ask, we will not send them anyother way (Not surface, or any other Postal Company etc)

And also, after ebay/paypal fees etc, it just isn't worth it on our part, we just end up losing out.

So our prices are firm and fixed, and as advertised. So please do not complain to us about our p&p, we don't set these prices, Postal service do.

Again thanks for looking
