Kauffman, Reginald Wright. POEM SIGNED BY REGINALD WRIGHT KAUFFMAN, "The Eighty Millions / A Song of Thanksgiving". New York: Moods Publishing, (1910). Octavo, 8 inches high by 6-1/4 inches wide. Unbound sheet removed from a book featuring the poem "The Eighty Millions / A Song of Thanksgiving" and signed by the poet Reginald Wright Kauffman. The pages [49-50] were removed in the past from the limited edition book "The Younger Choir" published in 1910. The poem is published across two pages and signed at the end of the poem below the author's printed name. The inner edges of the leaves are very slightly roughed and the outer corners are very slightly chipped. There is a very light stain to the upper inner corner of the page. A very good boldly autographed poem.

Reginald Wright Kauffman (1877-1959) was an American writer and journalist. While he mainly wrote novels he also wrote poetry and children’s books. Many of his earlier novels, including “House of Bondage” dealt with the issue of white slavery, or forced prostitution. A supporter of women’s suffrage, he represented the United States at the first Congress of Men’s Societies for Women’s Suffrage in 1912, and promoted women's suffrage while traveling through Europe and parts of Africa.

A 1913 film directed by Will Louis, "What 80 Million Women Want", has a suffragist as its central character.
