Frederick H. Meserve (1865-1962) was one of the most famous collectors of photographs, who published prints of the early American photographic portraits part of his collection, especially of President Lincoln and other famous people. His photographs, with the Meserve stamp, are highly collectible.

 

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882) was an American poet and educator. He was the first American to completely translate Dante’s Divine Comedy.
