It is the compound chosen by those who prefer modular braking (the more force you exert on the lever, the more grip you get).

EX-C: used in endurance races, they guarantee a higher grip in the first part of braking (they are more responsive and more aggressive but also less modular than the EX-C), longer life if used with wave discs.
