Pictured is an uncommonly seen cobalt blue cut-sponged, transfer ware eagle dinner plate by Hammersley.  The border is cut-sponged with cobalt blue diamonds & triangles and the central area has an elaborate transfer of an eagle in flight, a shield, & a banner with "E. Pluribus Unum".  The underside is stamped with the registry mark dating the dinner plate to April 1868.  It measures 1" in height, 8 3/4" in diameter, & is in excellent condition with a 1" fine hairline on the backside rim only, see pic at 5 o'clock.
