FILTER FABRICS
Currently, production motorcycles are typically equipped with paper air filters, while high-performance motorcycles use oil-soaked cotton or sponge air filters. One job of the air filter is to ensure good air flow while preventing significant particles from ending up in the engine. These two operations are naturally opposed to each other and this is where the Sprint Filter polyester filter fabric makes a leap compared to the others. Sprint Filter polyester fabrics are extremely permeable, stable and do not wrinkle during construction. Cotton or sponge air filters, on the other hand, have a texture that depends on the overlapping of numerous layers, resulting in poor flow in some areas and ineffective filtration in others.
