with central band stop to allow processing of the transfer ports on the cylinder, without hole on the suction side casing,

The wording SKIRT COATED identifies a piston to which a special permanent anti-friction treatment has been applied to the shell which,
unlike competing products, it not only serves to facilitate the running-in period, but permanently lowers the coefficient of friction.
