1871 Newspaper Illustration, COAL WHIPPING IN THE POOL, COLLIER, PITS & PITMEN

This is an original illustrated newspaper page measuring approx 11.25" x 15.25" ( 28.5cm x 39cm ) - taken from an 1871 issue of the UK weekly newspaper "The Graphic" dated at the top reverse side of the page; the illustration is by Mathew White Ridley.

The item is over 150 years old and has some age related wear with discolouration and spotting/foxing confined mostly to the page margins  - please study the photographs to best establish condition prior to purchase - as the page has been taken from a publication, there is printing to the reverse.

Ideal for mounting & displaying in a frame or as an addition to an antique ephemera collection.

The item will be dispatched carefully rolled and packaged in a protective cardboard tube
