Modern Folk Guitar was written by Terry Lee Kuhn and Harvey D. Reid. Alfred Knopf published this plastic spiral bound paperback in 1984 and it is a stated first edition. The Preface gives some insight into the content and structure of the book and this is followed by some guidelines for teachers. Content is divided into sixteen chapters, followed by three appendices and three indexes, for a total of 337 pages. Text is illustrated with black-and-white photographs, fingering diagrams and sheet music for songs.

book with some  markings. The covers show  wear at the edges and corners. Some pages appear to have experienced some damage but all other pages are clean and unmarked. The brown plastic spiral is whole, but a few of the pages show some wear and coming off at the binding.
