Hand carved one of a kind original. Tool marks lead me to think 18th or early 19th century. My best guess is that it was a pipe or tobacco cabinet, perhaps a spice cabinet, but I have not found a similar. It is 11 inches wide at base 9.5 inches across the top, and 9.5 inches tall. The doors have carved fleur-de-lis designs and open to reveal a single shelf that divides the space into two compartments. The knob is not held on with hardware but seems to be a single piece of wood, somehow pounded through. The bottom door flips open to reveal another compartment. Again, I am not seeing any metal hardware to attach the knob. The door seems to swing on a pin. The nails that I do see are square heads with some variance. These are my initial observations;  ask whatever questions you have and I will do my best to answer them.
