Presenting a Fine Anglo Irish Antique Heavy Lead Crystal Cut Glass Water Jug which is Probably by Waterford and which Dates to the Georgian Period
 

Circa 1785

It is Carefully Engraved with Italics on the Front and Dated 85, which would of Made it One of the First from the Waterford Glassworks.  Probably a Marriage Gift

Beautifully Cut with Horizontal Mitres Beneath Rim, with Petal Cuts under Waist and Five Alternating Strawberry Squares


 Zip Cut Border at the Rim with a Stunning Shell Like Motif to Top of Handle

 Measures 15 cm High
 

 Good Antique Condition with small chips and fleabites to zip cut part of the rim, there is a crack to the base of the handle which has been stablised in the 19th Century with the Use of Metal Staples and there is a small chip to base rim
