About half hand-stitched and about half machine stitched. This doll was certainly not made for sale but for play and it does show signs that it was well loved for many years by a lucky native daughter.

Material dates from 1870s to the 1930s in availability. It has leather, fur, cloth and what could be 20th century stuffing making up the outfit. Taking all aspects of methods of craftsmanship and materials together, the doll was most likely produced in the Art Deco period. Face is wooden like a 19th century doll.
