Up for auction is an 8 piece set of vintage INDIANA GLASS MILK GLASS SNACK SET - C787 - COLONY HARVEST GRAPE PATTERN. The plates are 8" by 10", the cups are 3" tall with a top diameter of 3 5/8" and they are in very good condition. I have a number of matching pieces listed and would be happy to combine shipping.
The Harvest molds were first used to produce beautiful snowy white, handmade milk glass items. The milk glass items were called Colony Harvest. Colony is a trademark of the Lancaster Colony Corporation. Indiana Glass produced the milk glass Harvest items but they were never sold under the Indiana Glass name. Indiana Glass continued to produce the milk glass Harvest items through out the 1950's and 1960's. The "Colony Harvest" pattern was obtained most often through the redemption of S & H green stamps in the midwestern states. You received a stamp for each $1.00 you spent and when a book of 300 or so was filled, you could redeem it for merchandise. Colony Harvest was a very popular pattern and soon there was a need to increase production to meet the demand. Some of the more popular Harvest molds were adapted to machine use.

I charge a small handling fee of $1.00 and charge actual USPS Priority mail fees (Delivery confirmation is included in shipping charges and I have found from experience that Priority Mail is only a little more than Parcel Post and packages seem to be handled more carefully and quickly with Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation.)I package items very carefully so insurance shouldn’t be required.
