This Lionel O-gauge New York Central motorized track tamper locomotive is a fantastic addition to any train enthusiast's collection.
The yellow motorized track ballast tamper was manufactured in 1983 and is in excellent C-7 grade condition.
Made of diecast material, the 1:48 scale locomotive measures 7-1/2" in length and 3-1/2" in height. It features some small pile drivers on the front that go up and down to "tamp" down the ballast rock along the track. The tamping action is controlled by track activators sold separately. There are no instructions in the box, they may be sourced elsewhere, but none in this box.
It features detailed effects throughout and runs on a three-rail system, perfect for any vintage train set. This toy is recommended for ages 17 years and up and is ready to go with no assembly required.
