Pictured is an uncommon & infrequently seen grey graniteware scoop offered for sale.  The long pointed scoop has a

tapered body & a thumb rest for grasping.  The enameling is terrific with a great mottled look over the entire surface.  It

measures 9 1/4" in length, 3 7/8" at its widest point, & dates from 1915 - 1935.  As seen, the scoop shows wear at the

thumb rest & handle area along with a tiny nick at the topside of the tip.  Due to its size, it may have been used by a

local grocer or baker as well.
