On offer is a four [4] gang air dielectric variable capacitor of medium size which is similar to those manufactured by Plessey Electronics in England. 

It measures about 3.50 inches [including drive spindle] x 2.20 [including the connection tags] inches x 2.00 inches from the base to allow clearance for the rotor swing. The 0.25 inch diameter direct drive spindle measures about 0.25 inches long and it is fitted with a slow motion drive assembly having a 3:1 reduction with anti-backlash gearing.

Each of the gangs have the following measured values; 8.0pF to 22.3pF, 7.9pF to 23.0pF, 13.0pF to 416.8pF and the 13.0pF to 416.0pF ~ measured on a Peak LCR40 component analyser with the actual values shown in photographs 5 - 12 [for info].

This is a unique opportunity to obtain a compact / medium sized variable capacitor, such as this, as a replacement for a missing or damaged capacitor in a restoration project or a tuning capacitor in a home constructed receiver.

It is in clean working condition and this, with the description, can better be seen from the photographs which are of the actual capacitor on offer for sale.
