The outer casing does have surface rust doesn't go through I don't think the Chrome will ever shine again but it could be sanded down and painted structure of the part is good just has cosmetic flaws and imperfections came from a motorcycle that sat at a dealer. This is a used part it's in less than perfect condition it has flaws and imperfections look closely at all pics make sure this is the right part before you buy do not have me ship it and then start asking me questions all sales are final.
