The edges of the title are darkened, else the contents are very good.
"The Seducers" is a sardonic comedy-drama about a school for young gigolos in Venice. Run by a middle-aged ex-Fascist, the academy teaches young Italians how to charm rich American women on vacation.
There is an underlining and addition in red ink on the character list page. Laid in are two pages of photocopied reviews and an original photograph showing four scenes from the New York production.
With the distribution slip of the "Laura Dubman Agency" tipped on to the title page. Dubman, a child prodigy classical pianist, was the wife of Mario Fratti.
The Italian author Mario Fratti was the New York drama critic for several European newspapers and a professor of Italian literature at Columbia University.
