Canadian Memorial Plaque & Medal Pair to Moore, 13th / 46th Battalions CEF

Canadian Memorial Plaque and War Medal/Victory Medal Pair to the 13th Battalion (Royal Highlanders of Canada) C.E.F. and 46th Battalion (South Saskatchewan, also known as "The Suicide Battalion").

The plaque has a nice aged brown patina, with a obverse depicting Britannia holding a trident with British Lion, and two dolphins on either side. The reverse of the Plaque has some wear, and is marked "W" for Woolwich Arsenal. The Memorial Plaque has the Soldiers name on front right:

"THOMAS GEORGE MOORE"

Both the War Medal and Victory Medal have a nice aged patina and good detailing, with the 1914 1918 War Medal having a silver patina. The War Medal obverse depicts King George V facing leftwards, with reverse showing St George on horseback in good detail. The Victory Medal obverse depicts a winged Victory figure holding a palm branch, and the reverse reads "The Great War For Civilization 1914-1919". Both medals have original ribbons, and are correctly named:

"427253 PTE. T.G. MOORE. 13-CAN.INF."

Thomas George Moore was born January 13th 1895 in Cornwall, England. He was a Farmer by trade, enlisting January 6th 1915 in Weyburn Saskatchewan with the 46th Battalion C.E.F. - He served in France with the 13th Battalion and 46th Battalion (recieving an arm injury August 23rd 1916), tragically being killed October 8th 1916 (previously marked missing), age 21. He is listed on page 541 of the C.E.F Roll of Honour as serving with the 13th Battalion and going missing with the 46th Battalion.
