For sale is this incredible lot of authentic rough amber from the Balkans. Baltic amber is debatably the most beautiful and highest sought after variety that exists. It is imported globally for use in jewelry because of its beauty when carved. From Islamic prayer necklaces, Christian icons, east Asian figurines, or fine jewelry; Baltic amber is agreeably gorgeous around the world, and has been traded for thousands of years because of its beauty. The pieces in this lot will likely include beautiful egg-yolk creamy color patterns, along with the pretty honey colored translucent parts that are so sought after. These are rough fragments (meaning they have not been cut into traditional gemstone shapes or cabochons). It is hard to be certain of what they look like on the inside until they are polished or cut, but some could even include fossil insects! These would work perfect for use in jewelry or in collections! These pieces came out of a private collection out of Eastern Europe. I was able to acquire them directly from the collection. The previous collector purchased them directly from a group of men that found them. He saved them for several years before selling them to me as an investment, or possession of value. I purchased a small lot from the collection, and decided to split them up. Beware of other amber on eBay, as much of it is fake, crackled (where it can’t be cut), copal, low grades, or other poor specimens. These pieces are some of the finest that I have ever owned!
