Maker: On the reverse of this lovely cup and saucer is the red backstamp number 32 of Theodore Haviland, one of the great Limoges firms at the turn of the last century.

Age: According to the third edition of the Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain by Mary Frank Gaston, this mark was in use between 1895 and 1903.

Design: The pattern - called H847 - features lovely lavender flowers, ribbons and gold daubs against a backdrop of fine translucent pure white porcelain. Both pieces are beautifully hand painted.

Size: The cup is 3 3/4 inches wide and 2 1/4 inches tall. The saucer is 5 1/2 inches wide. The set weighs 6 ounces.

Condition: It's in excellent condition, especially considering its age and fragile material. There are no chips, cracks, nicks, stains, discoloration, repairs or crazing. There is light wear to the gold edges on both pieces.
