SUPERB VINTAGE ITALIAN CHIMING IMPERIAL WALL/MANTEL CLOCK IN FABULOUS CONDITION

Complete with its optional wall bracket, this super quality clock offers you the choice of either a glorious mantel clock, or an equally fabulous wall clock, making use of the matching wall bracket. As I hope the pictures show, not only is it beautiful in its own right, but its condition is almost like new.

The clock stands 14 inches high, from its wonderful gilded cast feet, through its curvaceous body, upto the tuby little cherub at the top. The superb case is decorated to the front and sides with garlands of beautiful leaves & flowers all under a glass-like lacquer. This is then enhanced further by the quality brass cast decoration that surrounds the case...superb.

Set into this is the white enamel dial that bares the name "Imperial", behind its brass bezel and convexed glass. Ornate hands complete a handsome face. Inside beats the 8 day, twin bell striking, floating balance movement made by Franz Hermle. This strikes the half and full hours on twin bells and has a lovely light tone. The floating balance means this clock will run on any surface, level or not, without the need to set it "in beat". 

The clock dates from 1988 (date stamped on the movement), but to look at it you would think it new, such is the glorious condition. It is complete with its original key, wall bracket, working, keeping good time and sounding a treat.
