I recently had a customer tell me after he got his door that the front
door
is a home’s “handshake”.
It is our hope that folks feel welcomed should they come to visit.
Doors create a magnificent first impression. Yours can go beyond being
a simple entry way to one that reflects your personality and adds character
and warmth. No two doors are every exactly alike. Each board of wood has
it’s own unique character. From simple to elaborate our rustic
doors provide
you with the look and personality and
mood you want.
We make our doors in reclaimed Doug
Fir 70 – 100 years old.
Wed can also do alder and oak for the
same price. Mahogany and
American black walnut is a price
upgrade.
If a door you see has hardware on it
you will get the same hardware minus the lock set.
We will give you a dozen choices for
glass. Please let us know if you are under Title 24
where you much have Low E dual paned
glass.
Otherwise it will be tempered or
laminate safety.
To order a door I need the rough
opening/jamb width/swing of the door/
the kind of interior and exterior trim
you need/if a speakeasy is it operable?
Do you want a threshold? Do you want
the door Dutch?
If Dutch do you want a butler shelf?
The species of wood you want. We are
not allowed to stain thanks to the
California EPA and we will send you a staining
video. My grandson made it and it
is very easy to do. We will give you
extra wood to practice the stain.
Our doors are made here in San Diego by our very talented
carpenters.
We buy our hardwoods from a company here in San Diego. Our
wrought iron is hand made
and hand forged by blacksmiths in Mexico.
Our doors are solid wood. We never use engineered wood or
fillers or veneers.
These doors are built to last in most cases longer than we
do. 😊 Unless
all you want is
a replacement door
the single doors come pre hung in the frames/jambs.
For double doors that are shipped we breakdown in the very
well made protective
crates with instructions for assembling the jambs. We
often have drivers to
personally deliver to Texas and California and Arizona and
Nevada so
if you order double doors there is a good chance we have a trip coming up
and can bring the double doors to you still in the frame
without breaking down.
Upon request I can send you the files of all of the doors
we have made.
You can also send a picture of a door you would like that
you draw up or find online.
Since 2014 we have made approximately 10,000 doors.
Many of those doors started out as a customer’s
rough ideas drawn on a piece of paper that we were able to
bring to life.
We do have discounts for multiple doors and shipping
discounts.
We will be happy to look sat your door schedule. We are
running 4 – 6 weeks for production.
We do not stain your doors in most cases but we do have one
of our alder
carpenters who works off site who will do a light, medium
or dark brown stain and clear coat.
I can send you those color choices.
