Aduor, a Luo name from Kenya, translates to “born at dawn.” This exquisite necklace combines timeless elegance with striking elements, making it a sophisticated and captivating piece of jewelry.

Here are the intricate details:

This necklace features a classic combination of elements that make this a sophisticated yet striking piece of jewelry. Three matching vintage Tuareg Southern Cross pendants take center stage. These unique pieces, part of my private collection, drape gracefully.

Tuareg jewelry is traditionally made from silver, the metal of the Prophet, and more recently local artisans have experimented with incorporating stones into their designs. Here, I have paired it with two strands of recycled Krobo glass beads from Ghana in beautiful tones of jungle green, orange, and cobalt blue. The beads are made in Krobo, in the eastern region of Ghana, using a method that has been implemented for centuries. It involves baking fragments of recycled glass in molds that are lined with a mixture of kaolin and water. Krobo glass beads have been used in ceremonies of birth, coming of age, marriage, and death for over 400 years in West Africa.

Beautiful and ornate silver spacer beads from Ethiopia complement the pendant, adding an extra layer of grace and perfection. These beads harmonize beautifully with the overall design, creating a balanced and harmonious composition.

This unique necklace epitomizes classic and eternal charm and is guaranteed to be a special addition to your jewelry collection.

Wear the Aduor necklace anytime of the day, on top of a classic white tee, your favorite black dress or even when you want to exude that extra sense of confidenceduring business encounters. Whichever way, there is a lot of versatilityembedded in this ethnic necklace.

The lengthof the necklace is approx. 21 inches.

And so, as you wear the Aduor, know this: you carry more than a necklace. You carry the dawn, the desert winds, and the echo of ancient names. Let the clasp guard your memories, and may it whisper to the stars when you sleep.

For in that tiny silver embrace lies eternity—a promise kept, a story told, and the magic of dawn reborn. 🌙
