Couple on grass
Gorgeous work of art of masterful execution.
This fantastic sculpture, created by master Bruno Merlì, bears his signature.
A couple of boys lying on the grass unaware that something transcendental is about to happen. Maybe he asked her to marry him and she looks away somewhere between surprised and flattered as she grabs a flower. The boy's expression denotes anxiety and hope while she seems to play mischievously with his desire. Sitting on a tree trunk, the girl is wearing a white blouse, a red skirt open in front and a white petticoat with little red flowers with a thick lace hem that reveals a foot and ankle. The waist is tightened by a black leather belt. The boy, sitting on the ground, is wearing a white checked shirt and a green vest. Brown knickerbockers and a red scarf resting on his legs. The base is round decorated with applied and painted flowers and gold details.
Measures: L 38 x D 30 x H 32 cm
The golden details are in liquid 24-karat gold applied with a brush.
