Very Rare, Beautiful Artwork by Jessie Wilcox Smith titled " The First Punishment" from the February 1905 Ladies Home Journal. This was the second of a series of pictures by this artist illustrating "The First Steps in a Child's Life". It measures approximately 10" X 16 " and in original wonderful white frame. Print glued to mat became loose and sliding inside the frame, I secured with acid free tape and kept original matting, print is under glass.

Print of a little girl standing in the corner as a punishment with her doll lying close by. This is very rare to find image. Jessie Wilcox Smith used her niece as a model.
