Size: Standard (approx.
9 1/8” x 12 1/8”) Pages: 6
pages - 3 pages of music.
Covers: No signatures,
stamps, labels or stickers. Very decent
edges with a few small random tears here and there – ¼” or less (see Repairs). Corners have minimal wear with tiny creases
(see Repairs). The intense color on the
front has allowed for some scuffs – most notably a large diagonal crease in the
upper right (see Repairs). The back
cover has a faint mild crease line, top to bottom, but no real crease.
Inner
Pages: No markings – the
music is clean throughout. Minor
yellowing of the surfaces. The inner
sheet (pp 3 & 4) has two tiny tears at ¼” & 1/8”, some bumps along the
top including mild creases and some foxing along the edges. There is a small abrasion on p 4 making it
difficult to decipher one left hand chord.
Spine: Seems to be 80% intact
- 1” separation at the bottom and 2 ½” at the top (see Repairs).
Repairs: There are a
number of pieces of invisible tape on the inner surfaces (none on the outer
cover). Almost all seem to be for the
sake of reinforcement rather than repair.
These include a piece in every corner and a long diagonal piece
paralleling the large crease seen on the front cover. The exceptions seem to be pieces at the top
and bottom of the spine (again, on the inside), and one piece on the inside
back cover for one ¼” tear. I found no
tape on the inner sheet (pp 3 & 4).
Rating Scale from 1 to 10 (7 =
average for a sheet’s age): I'd
rate it a 7-. It’s not excellent but
about average for what you’d expect for a sheet 75 years old. I’m downgrading slightly for the taping.
