Sarreguemines French Faience Ceramic Story Tile Froment Richard RARE Antique

Description

Rare collectible Sarreguemines "The Weaver" French ceramic story tile.

This decorative tile was produced by the "Faiencerie de Sarreguemines" in the early 20th century using the illustrations by the famed French artist Froment Richard / Antoine-Albert Richard. This artist was born in 1845 and died in 1921. You will find his initials "FR" just below Father Jacques wine bottle in this illustration.

The glazed tile measures 6 inches square.

Condition is commensurate with age with small flakes and chips on the edge, staining and expected crazing, no cracks. This item is an antique and as such shows signs of its age and previous use.

View photos carefully for best description, zoom-in to see the details, request more information if needed. I have several Froment Richard tiles I will be listing and am happy to combine items for shipping.
