antique color lithographed 1896 map of Mexico, printed more
than 125 years
ago.
- Details include railroads, state boundaries, cities,
towns, and natural features, with an inset of the Yucatan Peninsula.
- Topography is drawn in relief, and the water areas are
tinted in a delicate
blue wash. The distance scale is calibrated in English miles.
- The image area measures 20.3 x 16 cm [8" x 6½"], and the
map folds to 7¼" x 4".
- It was
engraved by John Bartholomew & Company, Edinburgh, and
published by George Routledge & Sons, New York, in 1896.
- Condition: It is in excellent condition,
bright and clean, with a vertical center fold, as issued, and no
marks, rips, or tears. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any
