Publisher's pictorial cloth, with gilt spine titles; x,281,[8]pp; frontispiece and 62 unnumbered leaves of color plates, after original paintings by Warwick Goble. A tight, straight copy, complete with all 63 plates and the folding map; very lightly rubbed at spine ends with tiny abrasion at foot of front joint, still Very Good or better but lacking the very scarce dustwrapper.

In Black's lavishly-produced "20 shilling" Series, this volume especially desirable for the atmospheric illustrations by Warwick Goble, best-known as an illustrator of childrens' books.
