This Adjustable Mattress Genie has been used a couple of times. It inflates really quick. To lower and deflate you push the down arrow and the pressure from your body will release the air. You can stop it and it will stop deflating. If you want to deflate it so you can store it, it does take time. I would have to push it down to release the air as I pushed the flat button. As you use it there are times you have to put more air (It is all of the products) It worked really well for my elderly mom who liked to be elevated.
