About Artist :

Ma Jin (1900-1970), also known as Boyi, Zhanru, and Yunhu, was also known as Boyuan. In his early years, he used the name Ma Xilin and his room name was Zhanhuaguan. He was from Daxing, Beijing. In 1922, he learned painting from Jinbei Tower and was skilled in drawing horses. He was a member of the royal family, Lang Shining. Skilled in both flower and bird painting, skilled in calligraphy, engraving, and making kites. Before liberation, he made a living by selling paintings. After the liberation, he served as a painter at the Beijing Academy of Painting.
