Lovers is part of a larger body of work that began during our global confinement. Most people in the world have been confined in small spaces to avoid exposure to the virus. Psychologists and others who have experienced it firsthand have said that one of two things will happen during confinement: either there will be a separation or a divorce or a creation of a deeper connection between people and, by extension, lovers. 

This mixed-media drawing is on acid-free 140-lb Stonehenge watercolour paper. It was created in watercolours, graphite, and ink. The work is signed, and I provide a certificate of authenticity.

About the Artist

A renowned contemporary artist with over 40 years of professional practice, Stewart Fletcher has a degree in Fine Arts from John Abbott College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University. Fletcher’s paintings, drawings and works on paper have been the subject of numerous solo and group exhibitions over the past forty years, and his paintings and drawings are in over 400 private and corporate collections in 20 countries. He is in the studio daily and has an art gallery open to the public.

Known for his fascination with the human body, Fletcher explores various concepts beyond the representational image. He is also passionate about metaphysics, compositional space and colour interplay. He often uses humour and satire to convey his message.

  • Original works only: The Artist has pledged only to sell original works of art. He doesn't sell giclee reproductions of any of his works.
  • Buyer satisfaction: Fletcher believes that a happy collector is a repeat customer. Many of his collectors have purchased more than one work of art.
