Antique Hand Carved Conch Shell Cameo Pendant Erato, The Muse of Lyric Poetry, with Orange Glass Berries, Vintage Celluloid & Ceramic Flowers Pin/ Pendant
She is Beautifully hand carved from pale conch shell with natural orange highlights. Per Wikipedia, "Erato is the Muse of lyric poetry, especially love and erotic poetry. In the Orphic hymn to the Muses, it is Erato who charms the sight. Since the Renaissance she is often shown with a wreath of myrtle and roses, holding a lyre, or a small kithara, a musical instrument that Apollo or she herself invented."
In Greek mythology, Erato /ˈɛrətoʊ/ (Ancient Greek: Ἐρατώ) is one of the Greek Muses. The name would mean "desired" or "lovely", if derived from the same root as Eros, romantic and intimate love. In the Orphic hymn to the Muses, it is Erato who charms the sight.
She is embedded on beige felt, encircled in tiny glass bronze multicolor seed beads. With Bright Vintage orange glass berries, and Vintage Pink & gold ceramic flowers, Vintage green ceramic leaves green pink , Antique Celluloid Flower brooch on bottom, plus various green seed beads. .

All included for $229.90 is Mirror Measures 13" long 4 1/2" wide Hand Mirror, Celluloid Tray with 2 glass layers & 100 year old bobbin petit point roses is 10" x 5 1/2" x 1/2", Matching light green celluloid with butterscotch back tools are 6" to 7 1/2" long with 7/8" wide handles. Tools are shoe horn, button hook, nail file, nail cleaner & some type of tweezers. All in great antique condition with a little bit of tarnish. Beveled antique mirror also great antique condition except for few superficial marks.
