This example a symmetrical pair of 14" VII giving a f/6.3 8" focal length and f/12.5 14" as single lens with scale engraved for both. With 70 degree coverage rating and intended for 8x5 format by Ross. Today 5x7 seems the best fit or wet plate with a 8x5 reducing frame, although often stated as "to sharp for wet plate" but the choice is your own along with your resulting images.

Condition
The brass barrel shows tiny specular loss of finish and larger loss finish from use , the apertures are smooth and run from C f6.3 to f64 and S F12.5 to f64. The glass is excellent with no fungus, a single chip/scratch to the rear element with some dust and a couple of tiny surface cleaning marks. The flange is missing but common ross, sorry no caps but the elements will be protected when shipped.
