The difference from the original Kadee screw is that this screw is 18-8 Stainless Steel

These are first quality industrial grade screws

18-8 Stainless-Steel Screws are only slightly magnetic.

They are chemically blackened.

The Kadee #451 coupler pocket is the only application for these screws that we know.

They are too small (short) for eyeglasses

You might think of these as “anti-Gravity screws”; if you drop one of these it will never be found again.  It probably has escaped the gravitational field of the earth.
