The boubou is the classic Senegalese robe, worn by both men and women all over West Africa and in West African diasporic communities of Europe and the United States. The boubou or grand boubou is a flowing robe.

Stevie Wonder regularly wore African kaftans, he can be seen in a picture with Nelson Mandela wearing a boubou. It’s presumed this kaftan set belonged to Stevie Wonder.
