• Longitude is measured from London, topography is drawn in relief, and there are numerous named places and features, including Anonkek or Moguls Empire, India Within the Ganges, and India Beyond the Ganges.



• Other named places and features include the Kingdom of Tibet, Malaca, Cochin China, Canton, Sumatra, Bay of Bengal, Delhi, Agra, Madras, Kingdom of Siam, Hainan, Ceylon, Gobi Desert, Maldive Islands, Lahore, Laos, and the Indus River.



• The map was drawn by Thomas Bowen, and the image area measures 19.5 x 29 cm [7¾" x 11½"].



• It was published in A New and Authentic System of Universal Geography, Antient and Modern Geography, by Thomas Bankes, London, 1788.
