Up for the auction is a beautiful antique from the 18th or 19th century burgundy red velvet material embellished with golden thread ribbon (loss majority of gold to the threads) Probably it used to be a cover for a Christian altar.

The velvet measures 26” (66 cm) x 22” (55.9 cm).

Makes an amazing display with its fresh bright colors!

  CONDITION :

CONDITION IS GOOD CONSIDERING THE VERY OLD AGE OF THE PIECE. SEPARATION TO THE GOLDEN RIBBON FROM THE VELVET  MATERIAL IN COUPLE OF SPOTS (MOSTLY NEAR THE EDGES- SEE PICTURES). OTHERWISE GOOD. THE COLOR OF THE VELVET IS STILL AMAZINGLY BRIGHT AND FRESH! PLEASE, USE THE PICTURES AS A PART OF THE CONDITION REPORT.
