This
type was first introduced in 1986 and continues to date. The obverse
shows the Liberty Walking design that was used for the classic
half-dollar design by Adolph Weinman. The reverse depicts a heraldic
eagle design by John Mercanti. This One Dollar denominated coin is .999
fine silver and weighs one ounce. The mint mark is located on the
reverse to the left of the eagle's tail.
