1. Recommendation of Use
Before using, please read this instruction manual carefully and then keep it in a safe place
1.1 Intended Use/lndication for use
LED Curing Light is sed o for light m tion of compostes uting materals, cements and other light cured materials
1.2 Contraindication
The heart disease patients, pregnant women and children should be cautious to use this equipment.
1.3 Warning
If the curing light works or 40s continuously, the temperature of the top of optical fiber may reach 56C
Do not modify this equipment without authorization of the manufacturer.
The adapter should be connected to the socket which is easy for operator to touch.
Over-heat scorching: the device cannot be used for 20s continuously; interval time should be no less than 10s for each usage.
The light radiation produced by this type of unit is used be dangerous and must not be pointed at eyes.
The light produced by this equipment must be directed only at the zone to be treated in the oral cavity.
Do not use the unit near a heat source. Do not use solvents, detergents or flammable products, which may damage the unit or cause short-circuit.
The device is not waterproof.
Although the device conforms to standard of EC),/ cuse e ected by EM other device. If in case it happens, separate the interfering devices from each other, re-orient cabling or plug deice into a different power outlet. If it does not correct the proolem, contact the manufacturer for technical support.
Do not use the system in close prosily fo strong magnetic fields(such as found near an MRI).
The device is not provided sterile and is not intended to be sterilized when used. To prevent cross contamination, users must cover the device with FDA cleared barrier sheath. It should be changed between each patient.
1.4 Precautions
Please recharge the battery at least 4 hours before first time usage.
The top of the main unit can be tumed 360 degrees to boh left and right while it is forbidden to remove.
During operation, the blue light should be aimed straightly at the composite resin to ensure the effect of solidification.
Avoid aiming the blue light at eyes directly.
Please use the power adapter and lithium battery which is designed and supplied by our company. t may cause potential dangers to operator and patient by using the power adapter and lithium battery which is designed and supplied by other manufacturers.
It is forbidden to use metal or other conductors to touch the main unit and the charging point of pedestal because it may burn the intemal circuit or make the lithium battery short circuit.
Please recharge the battery in cool and ventilated room.
It is forbidden to self-taking apart the battery, in order not to result in short-circuit or leakage.
It is forbidden to extrude, shake or rock the battery. The li-ion battery is forbidden to be in short-circuit situation and it is forbidden to put the battery with metal or other conductors.
To avoid electromagnetic interference, the device should be installed at the medical site which meet the requirement of EMC.
2. Structure and components
VK-018 Procuring light(dental)is composed mainly of high power LED and main unit.
P/T button
Press the P/T button for about 2 seconds to select the operation mode, the device provides three modes, Turbo Mode, Normal Mode and Ramp Mode. Turbo(P1)mode with 1 and 3 seconds exposure time option, Normal( P2)Mode with 5, 10, 15, 20 seconds exposure time option, Ramp (P3)Mode with 10, 15, 20 seconds exposure time option.
After select the mode, press the P/T button to select the exposure time.
The device will count down the exposure time per 1 second.
The device will produce Beep when its work time count down at each 5 seconds in Normal and
Ramp mode as reminding.
ON/OFF button
Press the ON/OFF button to start the curing light accordng to the set modes, and the main unit wil produce"Bi" sound. Also, it can stop the curing light anytime.
Display screen
Display screen is used to show the work mode and exposure time. When the battery is low power, the display screen will flash with the word "Lo".
When the device is power on,the work mode will be shown in display screen:TUPBO mode(shown as P1);Normal mode (shown as P2);Press Mode button to switch the model for P1 or P2;And after select the mode,press Time button to select the exposure time.
3. Install
The top of the unit can be tumed 360 degrees to both left and right while it is forbidden to remove.Insert the top of the unit into the main unit in rotation mode.
When the battery needs to be charged, connect the plug of the adapter into the ac 100v-240vpower supply. Then connect the output plug of the adapter to the dc V input jacket of the charger, then put the main unit into the charger and connect it to the charger station terminal.
If the battery is low power, the display screen will show the word"Lo", it means that the device need to be charged.
4. Operation
The device is not provded sterile and is not intended to be sterilized when used. To prevent cross contamination, users must cover the devce with FDA cleared barrier sheath before use. It should be changed between each patient.
Press the P/T button, following three modes are available:
Turbo Mode: screen show P1. Press the P/T button to select of time which could be 1 and 3seconds.
Normal Mode: screen show P2. Press the P/T button to select of time which could be 5, 10. 15 and 20 seconds.
Ramp Mode: screen shows P3. Press the P/T button to select of time which could be 10. 15. and 20 seconds.
During the operation, aim the top of the main nit, at the correct position, press the ONOFF button and the main unit wil l produce sound, the curing light radiates blue light and starts working according to the set modes meanwhile. It starts counting down and wil produce Bi"at every 5 seconds, it stops working when counting down to 0.
During operation, the blue light can be stopped )y press the power button at any time.
After a working cycle, operator can press the ON/OFF switch to start another working cycle. sop operating if the equipment began to heat obviously, do not restart until the equipment cod down.
Suggest continues working cycle less than 10 times.
Low power detective circuit is fixed inside of the main unit, when low power is detected, the display screen of main unit will wink, please charge in time.
When te battery needs to be charged, connect the plug of the adapter into the ac 100V-240V power supply. Ten conect the output plug of the adapter to the DC 50V input plug of he harger station, and then the logo turned to blue. Put the main unit to the charging point of the charge station, the display screen tumed to scrolling display, and the curing lights starts charging.
This equipment will tum off automatically if there is no any action within 2 minutes, You can tum t on by press any button.
The depth of solidification of composite is no less than 2mm per 1 second.
5. Clean and Disinfection
In order to prevent cross-infection, its commended to do following process before and after each operation.
Turn off the deice and take the main unit form the charger.
Take off the cover sleeve after operation.
Wipe the main unit with a soft cloth moistened with purified water.
Dry the device naturally.
6.Daily maintenance
This equipment does not include the sef-maintainable spare parts.
The maintenance of this equipment should be taken by the appointed professional or special repair shop.
User can change lithium battery,.Please use accessory which is designed and supplied by our company,contract with the local dealer or our company if you want to buy.It may cause potential dangers to curing light or other damages which is designed and supplied by other manufactures.
The accessory of the product should be cleaned by clean water or neutral sterilized liquid Do not soak.Do not use highly latile and diffluent solvent to clean this equipment, which can cause the signs on the control panel to fade.
Please clean the resin remained on the top of the main unit after using to avoid infecting the life-span or solidified effect.
The device cannot be maintained during operation, and it is suggested to maintain it once a month.
