A Classic! This lens was handed down to me and I've only ever used it for Astrophotography. It has served me very well. See the 2 astro photos. Comet Lovejoy with the Pleiades and the 2017 Solar Eclipse totality shots (middle row montage) were all made with this lens. I'm only selling it because of finally switching to a telescope for AP and need to pay for it. 

The focus mechanism is fairly smooth, Aperture dial is a bit stiff. Glass is decent, not perfect. lens body is well worn per the photos. This lens could GREATLY benefit  from a once over by Nikon or a pro camera tech - and you would have something outstanding for a fraction of what a new model goes for. I've been using it as-is for years and it has worked fine.
