1 1880s 2 1/4" Porcelain Darling Child Hand Painted Brooch/ Necklace Victorian Blonde Angelic on Black Celluloid, Brass Curli Cues, 32" Black Beaded Lignite OOAK, One of a Kind. Webster Definition of Lignite "Definition of lignite. : a usually brownish black coal intermediate between peat and bituminous coal especially : one in which the texture of the original wood is distinct. — called also brown coal." I restrung this 1880 broken string necklace on beading wire using 3 tiny antique beads to mimic the appearance of knots between the beads. Handmade beads are irregular. 1880 Portrait has a flaw on surface; that can only be seen at some angles. Please zoom pics. This is 140 years old & is not new mint.
All I did here was add a Antique large curli-cue brass setting, antique brooch over extended C clasp, to make it a pendant & an long retrung antique necklace. . That leaves huge hand painted cabochon in original condition .
I am very Pleased to be able to offer such a rare lovely Antique!
