PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING

I got these pick-ups when they were fitted (as per picture) to a Tokai Rockinbetter guitar and the seller told me these were “original” Rickenbacker high-gain picks up that he had fitted. Having had this guitar professionally set up, it was clear that the pick-ups were not the right fit (just the wrong size, e.g. poles didn’t 100% align to strings etc) So I’ve replaced those with approate toasters and am now selling the high-gains.

Visual references through internet searches etc would appear to confirm that these are genuine Rickenbacker pick-ups but I can’t guarantee that but they were totally functional and 100% working on the Tokai but just the wrong fit.

I’m selling as a pair. One as per picture does have some crumbling on the magnet but it did not appear to have any negative impact sound wise when on the Tokai. I know that price wise, if these were fully authenticated, they wouldn’t be cheap. However, given the above I’ve started the pricing at a reasonable, sensible level as I believe that there are far better “Rickenbacker” experts out there and I’m sure if there’s interest that will shape the price accordingly. And also, I’m happy to take returns if purchase doesn’t then meet expectations. I think that all seems fair so happy bidding, there’s probably a bargain to be had here if you know your stuff.
