This antique baby rattle is from my aunt's estate. She lived almost the entirety of the 1900s, and I don't have exact provenance for this item, but she treasured it and actually had it framed for decades.

It features a winking man-in-the-moon face and a jolly rattle inside the headpiece. I can't find a maker's mark on it, so I've designated it as silverplate. In lovely vintage condition. Still rattles, and the mother-of-pearl shell has a beautiful lustre. The silver moonface wobbles on the handle but is intact. It has not been polished in decades.
