Maker: This exceptional small footed plate or saucer is by England's iconic maker Coalport.

On the reverse is the blue Coalport mark that was in use from 1881 to 1939.

Design: The beautifully gold encrusted plate features a fine design of intricate raised gold scrollwork and a fluted band around the gold center.

The pattern number is unknown. It would be compatible with Coalport's pattern X1303 but differs in some design elements.

Size: The plate is 5 3/4 inches wide, 7/8 inch tall and weighs 3.8 ounces.

Condition: It has no repairs, stains, discoloration or significant wear. There is light edge wear and crazing on both sides; it's more prominent on the reverse and is visible in the photos. There is a small chip that leads to a faint old crack on the fluted band - this is shown in the photo with the red arrows and can also be seen by enlarging the other photos.

Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
