Bright colorful 10" plate in the "Game Birds in Flight" series from Coronet - all hand painted by talented approved factory artits. This one is signed by what appears to be "Barlet" This signature is seen throughout this series and other Cornet plates with some variations of the exact letters.
The colors selected for the background of the plate evoke feelings of sunrise or sunset with green pink and orange hues.
It is a beautiful cabinet plate with thick gold gilding around the edges with minimal if any wear to the gold. It has also been fitted to be ready to by wall mounted if desired. Please see pics for a minor flaw - appears baked into the glaze a few small brown lines. There is no "fingernail catch" to these marks so not a crack.
Green Crown indicates manufacture in the early 20th Century -these were probably made for several years.
Overall, a lovely piece to complete or start your game bird collection.
