LOS GIN FIZZ
With Lucio Milena Y Su Conjunto
SIDE
A: PULGARCITO
SIDE
B: DESPRECIADO
MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original
Columbia Records very first 33 1/3 PROMOTIONAL Mono press released, made and distributed
in Argentina in 1962 by Columbia Argentina S.R.I., catalog number 321.063, with
machine etched matrix numbers CAS 212 in Side A and CAS 213 in Side B, with traditional
white/black Columbia Records labels of the period and solid center. Yes, Sirs,
ANOTHER FIND from South America!!!
“Pulgarcito” was released in 1962
by Los Gin Fizz, one of the pioneers of Argentinian rock, with song “Despreciado”
as Side B. Song titles are written in Spanish, with full credits for songwriters
and additional information about rights society and style of music of each
song, “Cha Cha Cha” for “Pulgarcito” and “Rock-Twist” for “Despreciado”. This
band, Los Gin Fizz, as far as I know, never released a LP, only singles, and
this is a PROMO copy with white labels, with red text “DISCO PROMOCIONAL –
PROHIBIDA SU VENTA” (“PROMOTIONAL RECORD – SALE FORBIDDEN”) in both labels. So,
here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE ARGENTINIAN PRESS of this
single by Los Gin Fizz, a record rarely seen and auctioned here in eBay only a
pair of times. A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of early
Latin Rock ‘N’ Roll/Twist and Cha Cha Cha music of the ‘60’s and especially for
all fans, lovers and collectors of Los Gin Fizz and Lucio Milena!!!
This record doesn’t have a cover. The record is
in nice VG- or VG condition both sides, glossy and clean, with loads and loads
and loads of scuffs, soft hairlines and light scratches of all sizes and in all
directions, which don’t affect play at all. Labels on both sides are in great VG+
or EX- condition the Side A, clean and clear, with some spindle hole wear,
evident age browning and faint blemishes, and in VG or VG+ condition the Side
B, almost same condition as Side A, but age browning and blemishes a bit more
evident and the name of a past owner written at left side. The sound is in strong
VG or even VG+ condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background
noise, with constant soft crackles and some occasional light clicks and pops
here and there, which don’t cause major distraction from the loud and clear sound
this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, this is still a great
record by Los Gin Fizz, in this MEGARARE and UNIQUE ARGENTINIAN PRESS, for sure
not for Minty minds or audiophiles, but with a nice glossy look, clear and
fully readable labels and a decent and respectable sound quality after about 61
years, which shouldn’t disappoint anyone and should satisfy any serious
collector who knows the real level of rarity of this Argentinian single!!! Yes,
Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click
on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

We don’t use the generic
“VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or
“NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a
normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading
System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed
records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate
description.
MINT (M): I only use this
grade for Sealed records. NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like
new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only
some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the
sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or
poster are in like perfect condition. BAD (B): The record
is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a
collection-filler.
PAYMENT Payment must be received within the first 5
(five) days after the auction is ended

FEEDBACK We don’t have anything to hide and we know the
buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most
of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know
that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to
receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must
receive feedback for. And we expect to receive positive feedback from buyers
who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
