My full testing procedures for this is below.

- Approx 5-10 minutes of playback
- Full fast forward and rewinds of a VHS tape
- Multiple ejections of DVD tray and VHS tapes to make sure motors do not stick
- Testing of all controls/buttons on the front of the unit
- Inspect for any physical damage
- Check inside unit for any foreign objects or broken pieces, and gently clean
- Check for odors (burning/overheating)
